Costume Swap and more! October 30th

NOTE: This is outside of the Bronx, but BronxMama wanted to share!

Putting an earth-friendly twist on Halloween Eve, families will be treated to a free afternoon of green-themed holiday festivities at the World Financial Center’s Screamin’ Green Halloween on Saturday, October 30th. Adorned with giant, 30-foot high figures of a scarecrow, witch, and skeleton, the spectacular Winter Garden will be the setting for a fun-filled afternoon featuring everything from games and parades to costume-making and costume swaps. Artists will be on hand to help kids make masks and costumes out of funky recycled and repurposed materials, providing them with a valuable lesson in creative reuse. During the costume swap, families can exchange last year’s costumes for gently used and ready-to-wear ones with plenty of time for the next day’s trick-or-treating. Continue reading
