I Scream for Ice Cream
Back by popular demand, a special workshop brings alive the history of Thomas Jefferson’s favorite dessert. Following a brief discussion about the production and storage of ice in the 18th century, participants hand-crank a batch of ice cream and sample the sweet results. Reservations are suggested, but not required.

Herbal Delights, Naturally
Kids can go on an herbal scavenger hunt to smell, taste, and touch more than 40 herbs in the garden’s collection; sample a healthy herb snack; and pot up an herb to take home.
